Community Wellness | Fort McMurray 468 First Nation

Fort McMurray 468 First Nation envisions an integrated system of wellness services to support growth and healing for our Membership. These services are available through our Community Wellness Centre, which was created by Chief and Council to contribute to the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness of our Nation.

All Wellness Workers can provide support for mental health, addictions, interim counselling, crisis counselling, child welfare assistance, legal assistance, budgeting, funeral support, NA and/or AA meeting support, as well as other wellness support groups, identification, taxes, hospital visits, and assistance with access to traditional medicines and ceremonies.

Community Wellness Support Workers

This is the first point of contact for Member questions and concerns. They provide services such as legal support, addiction guidance and support, financial support and guidance, crisis support, urban housing, domestic abuse, education and employment support, community supports, transportation, etc. You can reach out to the Community Wellness Workers for guidance.

The Community Wellness Support Workers also have access to medicines, ceremony, traditional programming, and an array of community events and programming through:
